Amend a Request

If a Request is in "Closed" status and needs to be reopened, the Request can be Amended. A Request may need to be Amended for various reasons. For example, more responsive documents may have been located, a Requester may have sent a document or email checking on the status of the Request, or additional notes may be needed for the Request folder. If documents are added or deleted to/from the Request Folder, Final Actions will need to be performed once again to accurately report disposition exemptions for the Annual Compliance Report.

(!!) Note:  You can amend a Request even if the Request is not assigned to you, provided you have the required Permission for the Request Type. You can amend a Request only when its status is "Closed." When an action is taken on a Request regarding an Amendment or Document Delivery, the Action History will be updated with the appropriate entry. Requests that have been amended and then re-closed will also have a record on the Action History screen.
